i purchased arma 3 earlier today on january the second 2016, the launcher wouldnt show but instead an error would show up saying we were unable to initialize launcher. launcher will now close.

Hello,
I can see that you have moved Launcher program onto your desktop instead of creating a shortcut to it. Launcher needs other files from Arma 3 installation folder to run. You should create a shortcut to the Arma3Launcher.exe that is in the Arma 3 installation folder instead of moving or copying the file.
