Too much damage for vehicle occupants

Since the latest update, i think that the damage that the vehicle occupants takes is a bit too unrealistic (high)

Steps To Reproduce

drive with vehicle with low speed against any object. For an example with an hatchback sport and only a maximum speed of 20 km/h will give you around 5-10% damage.

Even driving trucks is horrible now. Hitting small stones at 25km/h gives high damage values since v1.54.
In the changelog i only find this change:

Fixed: Adjusted damage inside of vehicles according to new character protection values

What does this means? How can i modify it to old collision damage values?

While adding more realism is a good intention, it breaks the game for mods and servers accustomed to a more forgiving approach on internal vehicular damage.

We have a Server where high speed (200km/h+) car chases across Altis play a big, vital part in our gameplay. Having the players die on every mid-size-rock contact really breaks the fun.

A possibility of overriding the values to their original settings and knowing exactly what was changed since 1.54 would be greatly appreciated.
