Hi,
I know there were talks about ramps earlier and i know its not possible or at least needs way too much work to implement a bug free, lag free, fully working implementation where player can freely move. I have an idea of a somewhat simplified version of it. So, instead of moveing freely in the choppers back i suggest to make pre-defined path(s), like in a lot of games where you just have to press the forward or backward keys. Most of the cases its used when you have to climb up on walls or ropes as far as i remember.
Ive attached a picture. The red lines indicate the predefined paths (may be one path would be enough). So you walk to the ramp. Either press the get in button or automatically link my player to the chopper and put me to the path, when iam close. Than i can move forward-backward with W-S. The head could be freely moved and when i look at a chair next to me i can sit down on it with the action menu. One problematic thing is when there are two player going in different direction in the chopper. To avoid getting stuck, use a proximity trigger which activates an animation that makes the players step one to the side so they can walk by, when they are in front of each other.
I think this would look even better then a free-move version, because here the forward-backward animation could be done together with a clamber animation so it looks less ridiculous when the chopper is making a sharp turn.
What do you think? {F27273}
