Markers are not visible in the 3D view, even if Marker mode is enabled.
While setting a marker in 3D view, the item in the list highlights but no marker is placed when clicking somewhere. Switching to map view shows the marker being dragged, but after placement, the marker is still invisible in 3D view

Steps To Reproduce
- Make sure you are in 3D view
- Press F5 (Marker Mode)
- Select a marker
- Click on the view. Nothing happens.
- Press 'M' to get to Map view.
- Marker sticks on pointer and can be placed by clicking
