Launcher won't open (Exception: System.InvalidProgramException: Common Language Runtime detected an invalid program)
Assigned, WishlistPublic

Description

Every time i go to launch arma from steam or via the launcher it will not open. I have to open the arma.exe file and it opens arma. When joining a game arma will close so that it can start the battleye service. Then i will join a game.

I would really like to have some help knowing why my game will not launch correctly. I just stopped working one day. I have unistalled the game and installed it again. Still does the same thing.

Hello,
could you please try to remove settings that are stored "C:\Users\Ryan\AppData\Local\Bohemia_Interactive". It would help us if you could send us those file before you delete them for analysis. This seems to be caused by a low level bug in .NET Framework triggered by a specific data (your settings in this case), but due to it's nature it will be almost impossible to replicate.

Also since you have Windows 10 and it already integrates a newest version of .NET Framework, you may want to run the System File Checker tool to be sure that the issues is not caused by a corrupted .NET Framework (http://www.howtogeek.com/222532/how-to-repair-corrupted-windows-system-files-with-the-sfc-and-dism-commands/).

I have uploaded the files before deleting them. It still does not work. I have already ran a sfc and found no errors. It works fine on my windows 10 desktop.

Thank you. So far I'm unable to replicate the issue and the file you send us looks normal. I'll do some research about the error to see whether it is possible to work around it or at least handle it.
