When Holding Binoculars in Hand and Spriting diagonally left the Launcher will stop following the Player and floats in Mid air. When you are 2-3M Away from it it will jump back to you and repeat.

Steps To Reproduce
Have a Launcher on your Back. Then hold binoculars in your hand and press W+A to walk diagonally. Then Start Sprinting and you should see how the launcher starts floating.
Additional Information
i have only tried this with The RPG Alamut and the NLAW.. Keep in mind that this only occurs when you Sprint left diagonally!
