Every time I press play it fails to start and gives me this error file.

Hello,

thank you for reporting this. Could you please upload complete Launcher logs? You can access the logs from a menu in a top right corner of Launcher's window by selecting "Export Launcher logs to desktop".

Could please upload it somewhere else (e.g. Google drive, Mega, ...) and post a link to it here or at find the latest report file, compress it to ZIP and upload it? The file I need is this one: "C:\Users\Adrian\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\Logs\arma3launcher.rpt".

Thank you. I've found the core cause of you problem. You are missing the main game file (arma3.exe) and that in turn causes the other error you've reported.



Let Steam check installed files and re-downloaded the missing one:



    

  1. Open Steam;
    2. 

  2. from the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu;
    3. 

  3. select the Local files tab and click the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button;
    4. 

  4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
    5. 




If that doesn't solve the issue run the verification from Steam again. If Steam detects missing files, even if it re-downloaded them before, then the arma3.exe file was removed probably by some antivirus product (a common cause is having an old antivirus or old antivirus database).
