Can't use mods with ArmA 3 Launcher
Assigned, WishlistPublic

Description

When I hit "Add local mod" on the fancy new A3 launcher all I get is the Windows egg timer, which disappears after I move the cursor off the button. The Steam Workshop button works though.

Hello,

we can't replicate the issue, so far we can tell that the dialog gets cancelled auto-magically before it is displayed.

Could you please download a simple test application and click on all buttons in it? First of those buttons opens the same dialog as Launcher, other buttons open slightly modified dialogs that may contain a fix for you.

Also can you try to open other dialogs of the same type in Launcher? One of them opens if you click on "..." button next to he Mods parameter on Parameters page.

Hello,

Apparently i can't open other dialogs, i have the same error on them.
About the application, i clicked all the buttons and selected the Launcher in each one and tried to open a dialog with it, but none of them worked.

Thank you,

so that rules out some possibilities. Could you please download another test app from http://arma.jiripolasek.com/Files/selectfoldersdialogtest2.zip and re-try these buttons again. I've made some modifications and also included a different ways to display the dialog... so that means more buttons... for free. Hopefully, one of them will work.

Thanks,

I downloaded the new app and selected the ArmA 3 Directory for some of them and now my dialogs open. Thank you very much!
One of the best supports i've seen in my life.

Splendid :) Thank you very much and please accept my apology for the inconvenience.

Do you know which button (or at least on which tab) did displayed the dialog? I'd like to include the fix or workaround in upcoming patch.

The buttons opened the Libraries, so i had to select the ArmA 3 Directory for all of them. For those that had to select a file, i selected the Arma3.txt from the Documents file.

I hope that helped you, and thank you again!
