Launcher wont show mods
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The launcher wont show the mods i subscribed to.
Its happens every now and then, and the only solution i can find to get them to reappear is to totaly uninstall Arma 3 and all its files and then reinstall.

But there must be some way you can fix the launcher?

Hello,
can you please upload logs from Launcher and roughly specify the date and time when it occurred. Also it would be very helpful if you could attach Steam logs.
Do mods get lost when you start the Launcher or when you subscribe a new item or does it happen randomly.

---

How to get Launcher logs:

  1. Open Launcher.
  2. Click on the menu button in the top right corner (with the "Hamburger" icon).
  3. Click on the Export logs to desktop...

How to obtain Steam logs:

  1. Go to a folder where the Steam is installed (the default directory is C:\program files (x86)\steam\)
  2. Right-click on the "logs" folder and click to Send to and then to Compressed (zipped) folder.

It just random dissapear. Totaly.
And it doesnt work just trying to launch the game.
Its like i didnt install the mods at all.

And yes, it happens randomly, so i cant give any specific reason why it does it.

I cant find the steam logs at the location you said.
But i got the Arma 3 launcher logs.

Though before i send it. What do those logs show?

You are free to open the archive to see what you're uploading.

The archive contains configuration files that contains with list of local mods and cached information from Steam about subscribed mods, crash dump files for latest crash if they created by Windows, then operation logs with basic system information about the application, a operating system version, info about mod synchronization, mod verification, records of errors, and also what information about subscribed mods we received from Steam.

Can you please tell me when you first notice the issue?
Thank you.

Yesterday.
And then again today.
I cant give more specific.

Uploading the launcher logs now.
Cant find the steam logs still.

Hello,
thank you very much. I can see why mods disappeared from Launcher. Launcher received updated list of subscribed Workshop items from Steam where the mods were no longer marked as mods. We will escalate this to Valve and investigate a possibility of an independent workaround on our end.

Steam logs should really be in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Logs or you can find Steam.exe on you hard-drive and Logs folder should be in the same folder as Steam.exe.

Protection against corrupted data from Steam was added to maintenance plan.
