This has happened multiple times now basically I will be playing and suddenly when using a vehicle I am unable to steer using the mouse and have been locked in free look. I try the double tap alt and this does nothing.

just had this today with stationary titan aa launcher. respawn and relog did not fix, restarting game did fix it tho.
(might be related to frequent steamoverlay opening/closing, i.e. for steam-ingame-chat)
