When attempting to re-bind controls for the Helicopter after the controller had been removed and then put back into the USB 2.0 port, binding the "collective lower" on the Z- axis or left trigger, now instead shows as being the Z+ or right trigger.
So it appears the game reading the controllers left and right triggers as both being Z+.
Unbind and remove an Xbox 360/ONE controller from the computer. Plug the controller back in and attempt to bind your custom control scheme. In my case I bind the collective to the triggers. Now you should notice the triggers are both z+ when allocating to the raise and lower collective.
Controller drivers are up to date. This bug is reproducible with an Xbox 360 controller and an Xbox One controller.
Update: Issue resolved. Cause was a 3rd party controller profiling software that I've never had issues with before in the past.\
