Adding the ability to turn off (or adjust) the centering force of the steering wheel for the mouse controls when driving a car could make the controls much easier, so the wheel could stay in it's position when not moving the mouse. The limits for the steering could remain depending on the car speed, but I find it difficult to take a long turn while I constantly have to drag my mouse and I repeatedly have to reposition my mouse on my mouse pad.
Making this optional or adjustable could also benefit for those who prefer the controls in it's current state.

Place a car in the editor (an offroad for example) and drive at high speeds (over 100km/h) while trying to take a long turn.
In real life, if you use the steering wheel, you can feel the force of the centering, but you don't have to turn the wheel more to counter the force, making this simulation on the mouse unrealistic and hard to use.
The current controls could only be viable if all the players would have force feedback mouse (and even then you would only have to hold the mouse in place), but I doubt it will ever happen.

Finally someone pointed it out!
Indeed it is a major issue about car handling, and makes the whole experience really annoying and unrealistic.
I would also like to see some improvement about this in A3 since I'm also using sometimes mouse for driving.
Thanks for the idea Jonny!
Agreed, every racing game/simulator that offers mouse steering lets YOU control the steering wheel, and does not keep centering it.
