Recently, every time I launch the game there is just a blurry background with the main menu music and sound effects playing. There is nothing to click on, and often the resolution is very low for some reason. The game works fine if you delete all the files and validate, but only for the first time. Every time after that, this issue happens and the game is unplayable. I've tried reinstalling, I've tried deleting everything ArmA 3 related off of my computer and reinstalling, it still does this. I have no idea what is going on, could it be because I uninstalled Breaking Point improperly? {F24851}

I found out this is a fullscreen issue, if I set it to windowed mode or borderless windowed mode then it works fine.

This appears to be the same issue I'm experiencing and despite being an old ticket I'll reply to this one instead of creating a new ticket.

I've been experiencing this issue prior to game version 1.46.131175 but it has become a lot more common since the 1.46 update. The manner in which the game launches like this appears to be random and requires Windows Task Manager to force close it. I can still launch and play the game as normal but it requires multiple attempts until the game correctly launches.
Please let me know if you need me to provide further information/files or if I should submit as a new ticket.

Just saw an e-mail regarding an update to this ticket. I haven't played this game for awhile, but have you tried switching to borderless or windowed mode as a temporary fix? I don't think I ever found a better fix than that.

this happended to me a couple of times usually due to alt tabbing during startup. it resolved itself after i let it start untouched. in the worst case you can always delete profile with screen settings it should start you with default settings.

@Killzone_Kid: This issue occurs for me even if I let it start untouched. As far as I can tell the issue is random.

@Jawsh You're welcome. Hopefully that will allow you to at least play the game for awhile, though I don't think there will be a specific fix for this any time soon. If this fairly old ticket is the one you found to comment on for this issue, then I don't think a lot of people have this problem.
