Handguns do more damage than submachine guns even with same calibers. The barrels of submachine guns are longer than the barrels of handguns so if anything submachine guns schould do more damage.

Steps To Reproduce

Shot a unit with a ballistic vest on the center bodymass. First use a handgun and count the shots you need to kill the uint, then do the same with a submachine gun of the same caliber.
