Drive Not Ready error - kicked from game
New, WishlistPublic

Description

This has been happening to several players of the Breaking Point Mod, Deathly rage has advised us to log this here as it is an issue with Arma 3

When the crash happens, i get a windows message: "Arma 3.exe - The drive is not ready for use;its door may be open please check drive A:"

After this i get the red desync chain and the "No message received for yx seconds" message. The A: drive listed as a floppy drive in my machine, but i don't have one built in it.

Seems to be happening at 15-20 minutes intervals each time, my friends in the game are stating they see a "client time out" message and I also see a red chain then the "no connection error Message".

The only way I can close Arma 3 is via task manager and ending the arma3.exe

I have checked the Arma 3 game files through steam twice and no issues and I have verified the Breaking Point pbo's and no issues all files are green.

System Specs:
6Gb ram
Nvidia GTX 670

Steps To Reproduce

Possible steps to reproduce

  1. Enable your Floppy Drive "A" in Device Manager
  2. Make sure you dont have a floppy drive physically installed.
  3. launch a multiplayer game and see what happens after 15-20minutes.

3a. Launch a multiplayer Breaking Point Game.

Additional Information

This can be fixed by going into System: Device Manager and disabling the "a" floppy drive.

Once this was done I had no issues for several hours of gameplay and 2 x server restarts.
