In Pre-Alpha / Alpha there was different underwear for different factions. This made it easier to identify people without clothes (They were POWs, ok?) and units without their combat shirt on. The OPFOR had black underwear, BLUFOR had theirs (they still do), INDFOR could have the brown one, and the civilians could get the blue ones. {F24284}
