IR grenades visible with NVG, but not TWS
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Hey folks, just noticed something strange when playing ArmA. Let me know if I am wrong.

IR grenades and IR strobes send out infrared light. Thermal radiation is also infrared light. And yes, NVGs make IR light visible.

So basically, if the IR grenade is visible with the NVG, shouldn't it be visible with TWS, too? I remember playing games (like CoD 4 I think) when you sit in a AC-130 with thermal sight and the people on your site are blinking - made possible with IR strobes.

Please fix this BIS.

  • NVG = Night vision googles
  • TWS = Thermal weapon sight {F24112} {F24113} {F24114}

This is quite similar and even more illogical. I hope they change something.
