Tracers are not visible across large ranges. This behaviour is inconsistent, for example:

Autocannon or MG tracers are clearly visible out to the point of their tracer burning out.

Tracers from tanks disappear after about 500 meters when watched from outside, only when zoomed in do they stay visible. Tracers on these shells are large and bright, and should be visible across large distances even in daytime.
