If you switch to weapon optics while using binoculars, your view is zoomed in. It can be reverted by simply zooming out, or by toggling the optics view of your weapon, but this isn't ideal and gets annoying when you have to do it every time.

- Equip binoculars, laser designators, or range finders.
- Use optics, (look into the binoculars).
- Switch to your weapon by putting the binoculars away, (default B) or by using the scroll wheel menu selection. At this point you should be aiming down the sight of your weapon and your view should be zoomed in.

You have to actually be looking through the binoculars in order for this to happen. Simply having the binoculars in your hands when switching to your weapon doesn't cause this bug. This also occurs when using variants like the laser designators or range finders. It also doesn't seem to matter what weapon you're using or what gamemode you're playing.
I don't know if this behavior is intentional, or simply an overlooked bug, but I thought I'd report it anyway to make sure. If this is intentional, then I suggest that this be changed. I know I'm not the only one who finds this behavior to be a minor annoyance.
Event Timeline
I guess the bug occurred since BI decided not to force players to always look into binoculars when it was taken out in hands. Well done, but the side effect is mentioned in the main ticket and the bug is still there in 2019.
