I get an error "display driver stopped responding" after a period of play. The game freezes and shows the desktop with the Arma icon in the taskbar. There is no input capability (i.e. no mouse cursor) until I bring up the task manager. I can then kill Arma and regain control.

I've been testing by only running the Firing Drill CoF: Green challenge. It most consistently crashes when rounding the corner running up to the first rifle target bay. However, it will sometimes freeze sooner or later. I've just noticed it occurring there more often than other spots.
I haven't been playing consistently lately. I cannot say this is directly related to a recent update. I have already reinstalled both Steam and Arma. I have updated my graphics drivers. I have checked to assure I'm running the latest DirectX. Reinstalling DirectX is not trivial and I don't want to do it unless that's the only option.
I've removed all subscribed content.
I have normally run Arma with most settings on "ultra" at 47 fps. I recently tried reducing the settings to "very high" with no change.
