Gun sounds from distant player with enableSimulation false are played at full volume
New, WishlistPublic

Description

If you have another player that is, for example, 1 km away from you, and you set enableSimulation false on its unit, any further sound from his weapon (like firing and reloading) will be played at full volume as if he was standing next to you, even if he is still 1 km away and has not moved.

Even if the player's position is not being updated anymore due to simulation being disabled, the gun sounds should still be playing the expected way, i.e. as if he was standing still 1 km away with simulation enabled.

This is a MAJOR issue and should be fixed ASAP.

enableSimulationGlobal?

enableSimulationGlobal is unrelated, as my objective is to run it on a local level for all remote entities, units included.

But, it is certainly not a "major" issue.

With Dynamic Simulation coming out soon, it might be a good idea to fix this. This will really help FPS with AI heavy missions and mods, but most people wont use it with random gun sounds coming from what seems like nowhere. It really throws off the immersion and is a bit irritating.
