It would be more realistic if its possible to destroy all light fixtures. For example -the runway lights, street lights, red lights on buildings (warnings for aircraft).

It would add so much more realism if its possible to just shoot em with one shot and take em out to make a more stealth approach. Also some of the lights that can be destroyed is demanding alot of bullets to destroy. Its not very realistic to use a magazine to take out a light.
