In reality, standing behind jet engine would throw you away and cause your death. I have tried standing behind A-143 Buzzard or modded F/A-18 and nothing happened. Actually it could also blow away a small car. Depends on type of airplane.

Standing in front of engine inlet should cause a death aswell. You can be sucked into engine and turbine inside will chop you just like a carrot :-)
Same thing with helo's rear rotor.
