Unloading weapons can be repeated indefinitely (unlimited ammo)
New, WishlistPublic

Description

When picking up a weapon from a corpse for the first time, the ammo for the new weapon can be unloaded (right click the magazine slot) repeatedly in the inventory screen. Doing so creates a replica of whatever ammunition happens to be loaded into the weapon. This occurs only with SOME weapons and was tested for reproducibility, always with the right weapon. Must be performed on a corpse (didn't seem to work with the crates/supply boxes). {F23088}

Steps To Reproduce

A good example is the Rook-40 pistol as it's a ubiquitous sidearm.

  1. Approach corpse and enter inventory screen to acquire the pistol.
  2. Right-click on the corpse's Rook-40 to swap out yours for the new one (even if you already have one).
  3. Right-click on the magazine of your new Rook-40 (as you would to unload it) and the magazine will replicate itself in the corpse's inventory and will not be removed from the weapon.
  4. Right-click on the magazine repeatedly to reproduce it infinitely. It will return to normal upon exiting the inventory menu.
Additional Information

Took a screenshot to demonstrate the production of 38 rockets (attached).

i confirm this, happened in death valley, i was trying to leave my half-used mag but it just kept duplicating, exiting moving and trying again fixed it.

I wouldn't call it a major exploit, not at least, until BIS does what they should be doing and let you combine mags in arma 3
