The defecting AAF troops in exit strategy are hostile to the player and the players squad. When attempting to fight back against them, it claims I have fired on friendlys and fail the mission. If I can live long enough and get close to the commander, he says some sort of scripted dialogue, but the gunfire drowns it out and I usually die after a second of hearing it. I have tried numerous times and looked on websites and youtube and found no way around this.

Oh, that could be whats causing it, I use that mod as well. I recently had to check through all my mods for a glitch (a different glitch) and MCC checked out fine, but that was for a different bug,so its entirely possible MCC is messing with the AAF alignment. I will check that in a minute.

That did the trick, uninstalling the MCC editor made the defecting AAF units friendly.
