AI is having problems to put right weapon in their hand [Repro-missions]

Description

The AI is having problems to put right weapon in their hand. They often walk with pistol, with rifle on their back. Or if they only have rifle then empty handed with weapon on back. (Edit, after latest DEV-version there seem to be less pistols seen but still rifles are kept back) {F22913} {F22914}

Steps To Reproduce

Try my repro mission. After the script clones all units the issue happens (there is currently unrelated Bad Vehicle error displayed, havent yet figured how to prevent that).

Sometimes the AI keep rifle on back for minutes, sometimes only few seconds.

Added repro also for the pistol in hand issue. In the repro mission, team-mate gear is changed to random. After that they put rifle on back and use pistol (for too long).

This also seems to happen to rangefinder. They will put rifle on back and get out rangefinder, then swap rifle ... this goes on indefinitely - or until I shoot him out of frustration :-)

Thanks for the feedback and an update.

The issue does not seem to be present in the first repro mission, however it appears in the second. Once the units are about to engage in a combat they switch to their primaries correctly.

I am not sure whether they should always try to check what primary weapon they currently have and switch to it if possible. (Unit has its prim. removed and is left wit a pistol only for a split second so it switches to it) As long as the AI doesn't have to think about what weapon to use, it stays with what it currently has. But it may introduce a tactical disadvantage when the AI starts switching once engaged.

Have been working in unreal engine 4 for the last 3 months. But dont remember seeing pistol issue much anymore. But cant confirm if the issue is there or not in the current game builds.

Seems to be back in patch 1.50. Was playing the "Infantry" showcase and seeing my team leader shoot at CSAT with P07 instead of rifle.

The repros seem to work fine (with that weapon switching only when AI needs to use the weapon).
