It's now some months after ARMA3 release. Despite a large percentage of your customers spending countless hours beta testing your game - the majority of bugs and issues still remain in the game. ARMA3 doesn't even have a fully functional campaign.
What is more disturbing is that the vast majority of issues haven't even been reviewed yet according to the issue tracker. In addition to the above ARMA3 still lacks critical content like aircraft. A single plane in the release thus far - implies that Bohemia are going to leave the rest of this categories asset development up to your customers. Whilst this may have seemed like good business sense a few years back - the industry has matured and so has your client base. Our general expectations are far higher thanks to the bar being raised by other developers and our available time is far more limited thanks to the massive growth of the gaming industry - not to mention social media. In addition I think the patch window has narrowed considerably in the last few years - that is the time window in which gamers expect the developers to fix the final release. Few games these days are released without some kind of bug - we have grown to accept this as defacto for the industry - however we expect a fully functional product within a narrow window from the final release date.
I know I can't talk on behlaf of the ARMA3 community but from my perspective and based on feedback from a large number of ARMA3 supporters - they have already grown tired of waiting for ARMA3 to mature. Despite all the promises that ARMA3 would be a highly polished game with all the command and control processes being fixed - come launch day - ARMA3 still has major issues with the most fundamental issues of control and environment interaction.
Don't get me wrong I am passionate about the ARMA series - or let me rephrase that - I am passionate about what ARMA3 could be if these issue were resolved - otherwise I wouldn't waste my time writting this request. Even Dslyecxi has complained about some of these primary issues still not being resolved - but Bohemia remains silent on these issues.
We can therefore only assume the problem lies with the senior management team who make the final decision on these matters. If this is the case then I am clearly waisting my time.
