Place a burning campfire in the editor.
Look at it and notice the very nice heat shimmer effects.
Raise your rifle with a 3D scope (eg MRCO) and notice that while you can still see the flames, the heat shimmer is gone.
Look at the fire with binoculars or rangefinder and the heat shimmer is now visible.
I encountered this issue when I was trying to create a shimmering to the distance when doing a desert mission. Attached a photo. Would be nice if this was fixed :P
