When you freelook while aiming you can move your gun a few (very few) degrees and have it snap back to where you were aiming. Why? Why not just be able to look to the side without moving your gun and then let go of freelook and look through the sights again?

That way freelook would always be freelook and I wouldn't have to move my gun down and back up and take 3 seconds just to glance left or right. The current system seems useless and unrealistic anyway.
Just an idea - I doubt this will get any votes at all and even if it did it wouldn't mean crap probably.
