I just tried MBT vs MBT fights and changes in the damage model make it nearly impossible to have working tank fights during a mission.
Example:
120 mm APFSDS-T Ammunition used against the Slammer:
Front: No damage at all.
Sides: 4 Shots needed to blow it up. 2-3 for critical damage/disabled.
Back: I have no idea why, but the only thing that happens here and there is a damaged/destroyed engine. No other damage.
Nearly the same results when testing against the T-100.
This totally destroys the realism (a APFSDS shell goes through everything available at the moment, the best thing when you don't want to blow up your own tank is hiding it. That's how it works, it doesn't has to be that realistic, but no damage at all when you aim on the front armor is, to be honest, a joke.) and makes ingame MBT vs MBT battles more annoying then enjoyable.
If you use ATGMs it becomes even whorse, the only thing I was really able to achieve from the sides was a destroyed track.
When I've done something wrong, ignore the ticket, but I don't know what I could have done wrong.
