Currently, there are two ways of shooting artillery (excluding scripted Firing):
a) Requesting artillery fire as an Infantry unit via Supports.
> Multiple Units all shooting a specified number of rounds at a single target.
Problem: Advanced tactics (e.g. widespread attack on multiple targets in a base) are not possible.
b) Being Gunner in an artillery unit and shooting manually/via the artillery computer.
> Only single unit (unless multiple players man multiple units in MP, but that is a waste of players) shooting one round at single target.
Problem: Very difficult for only one player to do more than one round/target.
Suggestion:
- When player is in command of multiple units, these can also be selected in the artillery computer.
- Ability to first select (multiple) targets (using normal LMB click) and then execute firing mission with a special button. When player is in command of only one unit, the unit fires the shots in sequence. Otherwise, the rounds are split up, e.g. 4 units, 8 targets: each unit fires twice.
