Joystick installs correctly, and is calibrated correctly in windows. Joining the game shows the joystick at the start screen and once in game it works to control the helicopter. Once you go to try and change the controls, the helicopter controls no longer show and you can't control the helicopter with the joystick any longer.

Steps To Reproduce
From the main ArmA 3 screen
Select "Configure"
Select "Controls"
Select "Controller" from the top of the window.
View the joystick is selectable, and customizable.
Set some controls with the joystick
Loading into a game...
View that the controls set at the start screen still work
Select escape from the keyboard
Select "Controls"
Select "Helicopter Movement" from the dropdown list
Attempt to set any one of the controls via the joystick does not work.
Select the "Controller" button.
View that the joystick is no longer registered.
Exit the screen back into the game.
View that the joystick no longer works for the given vehicle.

Same problem here. I'm using a Joystick and TrackIR 5. The Joystick disappears and stops working once I enter the configuration screen in-game.
I found #17062 and #14924 to be about the same issue.

Thank you for the repro steps provided, but even those don't allow me to reliably reproduce the issue (I've experienced it happening randomly)
