Shadows shouldn't be totally disabled
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Player with disabled shadows has an advantage over those players, who have them turned on. It's not good at all in compatible MP.
It wood be great if there weren't such an option as "Disabled" in shadows settings, only default setting sugh as
low,
standart,
high,
very high,
ultra
etc.

Another good reason to implement this:

Ticket title is confusing - should be "Shadows shouldn't be totally disabled" or "Shadows can be totally disabled"
Now it looks like shadows can't be disabled now and it's a bug :)

This whole ticket is confusing. How exactly does a player with no shadows have an advantage? If anything, a player with no shadows will have a disadvantage, ie. if playing PvP, due to not seeing players' shadows behind corners etc.

Or am I missing something here?

You're more likely to see the player hiding than their shadow..what you should be saying is that, just like grass, there should be a server option to force shadows on..quality doesn't matter, the fact that they are on is enough.

Added some screenshots to demonstrate what I am talking aboout

The unit can be easily spotted if shadows are disabled. Quite an unfair advantage, and it is probably what a lot of people on MP do anyway. Upvote++

Ability to disable the shadow should stay until their developers do not optimize, they squander the FPS to 50 percent. Vote down.
