When using mortars a close hit will throw an AI into the air, yet a hit right beside a vehicle has no effect other than blowing the vehicle up. It would add a whole new level of immersion. Just imagine riding in the back of a transport truck before being hit by a mortar causing the truck to flip and tumble down a hill. The same thing happens with helicopters. If I hit a helicopter with a launcher, I want it to get pushed around instead of just losing power or blowing up and falling.
