Reverse Flag Patches Are Wrong
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In Arma 3, I have noticed that the US soldiers and airmen all have reversed US IR flag patches on both left and right shoulders. This Bohimia, is wrong and disrespectful to the American flag.

Only the flag on the right shoulder should be reversed so that the blue field of stars should always be in the highest position of honor. As for the left side, it is not required to have a flag patch on that side of the uniform, but if you do, it should always face forwards on the left arm.

Hopefully someone from BIS actually reads this because I doubt any of the other Arma swag wastland and DayZ players have noticed this problem. {F21550}

Additional Information

I have noticed how this game ever since its alpha launch has been catering towards wastland/DayZ casual players instead of the simulation community. It seems that this game is not created for "simulation" purposes anymore, but more so for casual players.

Dev's lock this one, and don't waste your time. Plenty more important things to get on with.

...or they could have just not put the 'Murican flags there in the first place.

You do know that in terms of that little meme, there is a difference between "America"(I prefer to say US because America is both North and South) and "Murica" right?

By assigning the meaning to both you are demonstrating the same ignorance that much of the world likes to peg us for.

I agree that this is an extremely minor issue, but you've already gone to great lengths to get the little details right, so why skip this one?

There's nothing to fix because they're right...
