UAV's need image stablization and tracking for turret cameras
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The turret camera on UAV's shoud have some form of image stablization and point tracking. When looking through the turret camera, currently it is almost impossible to track a target because the turret tries to turn with the UAV, and has a bad case of the jitters. When turning, the camera should maintain its heading independant of the UAV's heading. In other words, when looking at a point on the ground, when the UAV turns, the turret camera should continue to track that point. Current real world UAV systems use an image stablization and point tracking systems like this, so I'm assuming they would have the same technology, or better, in 2035.
