It appears to have a joystick or steering wheel for the seat. You could take "direct controls" without having a UAV terminal but only while sitting in the seat.

Can someone confirm by adding a picture to this ticket that the stomper unarmed version has controls for a driver without a uav terminal?

In the field manual it said the stomper "also has options to take direct control". Wonder why this isn't implemented already :P

There is no way to take direct control.
