Random lag spikes, then crash
Assigned, WishlistPublic

Description

The game will start to do somewhat of a battle between graphics and performance, where it will lower the graphics when it's lagging, then the framerate will drop horrifically, then the graphics will improve and framerates will return to normal. It will keep going back and forth between these two until you restart the game or the lag spikes so much that it crashes.

Steps To Reproduce

I'm not entirely sure how to reproduce it, it seems to happen at random times. Using a computer that is not very good at handling graphics and playing a large scenario in a server could produce the same or similar results.

Additional Information

This will occur on both ArmA 3 Beta and the Development branch.

I never had this problem before the final release. I have been playing since the first days of alpha and up until recently I never had a crash or lag at all.

The lag I, and others I have talked to, are having doesn't looks like network lag. The screen would freeze every 10 seconds or so for a few milliseconds or a second, when the game resume it does exactly at the same position where it froze. The crash doesn't happen always but the lag does, even in single player.

This is for low-quality computers only. This shouldn't happen on any decent systems.
