Pathways and tracks in fields and woods

Description

I sure have no idea what kind of actual effort this would be, but some keep-fit tracks for non-motorized units would be a great and believable feature for the Arma3 Environment. Actually there are no comparable paths or tracks for ground-units within any of the maps of the whole Arma-Series - what is kind of sad.

Those tracks wouldn't even need to apply or interact with the path-finding engine - even though this would be the aim on what you want to end up with: Maybe it's no big deal at to adjust the current path-finding system so that only NPCs on foot would include those tracks into their consideration. Of course Vehicles shouldnt be able to use them.

Why do you say vehicles shouldn't use them? Do you mean drive faster on a dirt road than offroad?

I said vehicles shouldn't use them because those paths are supposed to be too narrow to be used by regular vehicles.

PLUS i meant vehicles shouldn't "accidentally" use them within their path-finding, so they don't end up getting stuck on such a path.

Basically i meant those tracks/paths to be some kind of different road-class, that only would be used by non-motorized units.

How would they be to narrow? Doesn't seem like something the devs would do preventing vehicle from driving across or down them. Nothing stops me from driving down a hiking trail in real life other than the police.

Hiking trails or foot paths is what i had in mind - and those are regularly pretty narrow, aren't they? Of course you - as a player - could try to drive along them, but did you ever try to drive down a hiking path with a 4-wheeled vehicle?

Give it a try:

Yea, I have done so with a quad before in real life, but in game if there are trees, just have some tracked vehicles in front of the convoy.

A quad is a regular vehicle for you? For me a quad is more a SUV-motorbike, but anyway, i think you do not want to understand in the first place.

foot-paths are not to be used by vehicles, because they supposable end up getting crashed or stuck at least
