Recording player orders then executing ingame to AI.
Reviewed, LowPublic

Description

The ideas is fairly simple:
You know that you can "record", say, you flying a flight with a chopper, then "upload it" so the AI can fly it out perfectly?
After three hours of rage at setting up an AI ambush at specific cover locations and lanes of fire, I came up with this:
How about you expand the capability to be able to record orders to group members?
As in, you go somewhere in the editor with a group of AI under your command, give them lots of orders to make them go into just the perfect position for an ambush or something, then quit recording.
You then make the sequence play from a trigger.

AI squad leader comes to area, trigger plays, he issues the orders, AI group members go into position, trigger ends after orders end, AI stays where they are, and can be locked and unlocked from that position.
Times to execute orders can be tuned (when player executed or at another time) and so on.

I think it'd be genius, and it would make AI mission making so much easier and more precise, but probably hard to code in.
Vote this up please so BIS can give it a thought.

Also, this is my first time using the tracker, so I don't know if I submitted this in the right place.
