visually worn look on characters, weapons and vehicles
Reviewed, LowPublic

Description

Just a feature I'd like to request, not sure what anyone elses view is of this, but I would like to see a more visually worn look on all characters, vehicles, weapons etc, instead of making them all look brand new like the war just started.

Assuming from what I have read, it seems like the war in 2030 is following up and dropping the players in on a current ongoing war, and it would seem rather a little more immersive i guess if all these would have a worn look.

Maybe even if possible, make it worn over time if not right from the start, by adding decals, much like you would see the blood decals on characters when wounded, or bullet holes or damage to vehicles.

When it rains let characters and vehicles get covered mud decals, on hot sunny days some dusty dirt decals, driving and brushing against other vehicles or objects create scratched decals etc.

Just a nice touch kinda feature to look into when polishing up the game =)

not high priority, but just something to look into when adding those last touches to the game before release.

no, the game takes place at the outbreak of a conflict at a remote spot, so there shouldn't be anything too heavily war torn.

also, they look perfectly well weathered. the soldiers have dirt near the bottom of their legs and dust/sand on the helmets and other types of weathering. pay attention, don't just glance at something then start bitching.

agreed about dynamic mud and water. that would be great.

Well I have not seen anything worn, a little on the MX rifle and thats about it, I dont see anything on the characters or the vehicles to justify being in use or seen action. If I had, then I wouldn't be posting this suggestion now would I? If it actually is in there, then perhaps they should make it a little more apparant.

Now incase you dis my rig for not outputting clearly, here are official pics from the net instead.

I dont see any dirty elbow or knee gueards, I dont see any worn out clothing, worn out paint jobs etc. Though it may be aparrant on a few objects perhaps, it is too unnoticable.

And if you agree with the dynamic decals, why would you vote this down?
