When ever I try to launch the game I click play Arma 3 Alpha and nothing happens, my steam status says I'm playing the game but no window of the game comes up, then after a few seconds it just goes back to the online state. I tired re-installing the game, re-installing direct X, re-booted my PC,and ran the game in dev version. I do not know what to do. Thanks for any help!

same bug from this post (http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=4449 [^])but I cannot find in files under C:\Users\<My Name>\AppData\Local but, I did find the Arma 3 files in my steam directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 do you want files from there? Also not to sound kind of stupid but what are the dxdiag files you asked form in the mentioned post, I can not find them.

Please try use -nobenchmark command line option.
Right click on Arma III in your Steam Library>Properties>Set launch options
