I have found a way to fix this crash. This will lest you have all the updates early and one of these is the fix to the crash. You will not be able to get into servers that are from people without this development build but at least it fixes the crash. They will soon update the actual game but probably once they have found a fix to all or at least most of these fixes. Once they have done the update you can go back to properties and updates then select opt out, or you can stick with the development build to help out the developers fix all the problems and test out the updates for them. At least you can play in my servers! :D Hope this helps.
