Unable to host session for friends. Not all players are able to join each others games. Gives unable to connect every time, eventhough the game has a good ping.

Same thing in Arma 2, I wouldn't expect a fix for a long time.

I've had no issue hosting games from America with friends from England. Have you made sure to port forward and switch the LAN option to Internet?

This issue it related to ports and firewall security I believe, you had to open some more ports that the game itself required. As stated above, a problem also known in ARMA 2
