Whilst playing with good FPS 30+, the game will hit a massive "stutter" sometimes it will recover, other times not, forcing alt-tab and kill process. In Task Manager whilst "Stutter" is apparent, Arma 3 Alpha.exe is using <10% CPU.

Please fill up the report and provide files according to HOW TO GUIDE in the top right corner
When reporting crash in MP ,
please state TYPE and NAME of the MISSION/MOD you are playing, how many players were playing at the time etc. Try to provide as much info as possible.
If the crash is happening when playing custom MAP/MOD,try to reproduce the crash also on our official Arma III missions.
I've had similar issues and in my case the GPU usage had dropped to around 10%. After the stutter it recovers or crashes. I have an ATI 6970 though so it's not manufacturer related, since you have nvidias. Try to monitor your GPU usage with MSI Afterburner.
I can confirm that. At some times the FPS drop to 0-3. It may recover after 10 or 20 secs in 9/10 cases, but not all. I will append the logs when I encounter this crash in the future.
Ok, to atleast give some more info, I can say this:
Mission: AHOY World Domination 2.78
Around 20-30 players, cannot recall exactly.
Happens with my machine quite consistently. All I play is 404Games Wasteland 1.06(c). Graphics will stutter/stagger periodically and resume back to normal after about 10-12 seconds.

Win7 Professional 64-bit
GTX 670 FTW edition

same here, but more random than consistent. Not sure if it is related to domination specifically as I usually get it when playing domination. Game randomly starts to stutter ever 3-5min for a while then I jusmp to another server or game type and everything is OK.
As for solo play on showcases, I can run the game pretty neatly at above 50 fps, and then whilst running in one direction (no sudden movements or anything particular happening on screen or around me) achieving my average of 53 frames, my frames will suddenly just randomly drop to 30's or even lower frames.
I will say there has been major changes in performance since the release of A3A, but still, it can be better =)
Also, the heli showcase.... seriously need to do something about that.

I am having this issue with extreme consistency. Nearly every time I play A3 my frames will take a sudden nosedive from 30-50 to 5-15.
The constant in this matter is that it happens in every facet of the game. MP, SP, Editor while making missions, etc. Everywhere. It's really hampering my A3 experience.
-FLUSH does nothing. The only thing that will fix it is exiting and restarting ARMA which, when hosting a mission, is a massive pain for everyone involved.
The interesting thing is that when this happens, if I keep my camera perfectly still and don't look around, my FPS will be normal, but the second I try to look around, the stutter/fps drop is back.
This has been happening in every build for the past 2 months. I'm currently on Dev build and it happened today. It happens both with and without mods. I have found no constant variable and have been unable to fix it by either rolling back my video drivers or updating them.

Would this FPS drop be in the .rpt file?
Here is my RPT for the last play session this sudden FPS drop occurred in(today):

I have the exact same problem as MacScottie.
Every time, I play A3 (Wasteland, sa-matra-version), my fps drop after a while (around 20-50 minutes, I'd say) to 3-7 from 30-40. Just out of nowhere the game becomes unplayable.
Flush does nothing. Only a restart helps.
I would like to keep playing Arma3, but like this, there's no point. Finding decent gear in Wasteland, or going on missions is completely useless if you constantly have to reconnect.
The game does not recover from itself, unfortunately.

I have the same problem. When the FPS already dropped to 1-5 and i look out of the map, (the direction I see no objects in) the fps go back to normal.
edit: oh, the last post is from 2013 Oo
