Pressing 'End' key makes game unresponsive

Description

I have my Steam overlay mapped to the 'End' key on my keyboard. Occasionally the Steam overlay will not open when 'End' is pressed and instead the game becomes unresponsive to all controls (cannot pause/walk/look etc) but continues running.

Only happened twice for me so far and both times in multiplayer.

This could in fact be an issue with the Steam overlay and not specifically the 'End' key...
