Multiplayer - More players=lower FPS
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When i gebin to host a game, my FPS seems normal around 40-50 frames per second. When some players are joining i loose 5FPS per player. So that means if more than 6 players joining my server the FPS is around 5. Sometimes the game freeze and crash then.

Regrettably, this is just the way ArmA is. I would assume it has something to do with the fact that it has to render and process the actions of other players as well as your own, the AI and the surrounding environment. I could be wrong, but I think that's the issue.

Also would like add on this, Im getting the same issue on an i7 2600k and a 6970 with 8gb...

Privately hosted servers will always act like this.
Your PC will have to compute all your actions plus all the other player's .

Example if you have 4 players, your CPU/GPU are loaded almost 5 times more than if it was only you
