Has there been any new development on this issue?

I have had the same issue happen a few times, once just a few minutes ago. I was finishing my loadout on the inventory and suddenly it crashes to desktop.

Up voted.

It seems to be some sort of issue with windows 8. Everyone I know who doesn't have windows 8 can check their gear just fine, but the people i know that do use windows 8 all crash when you hit the check gear button.
