"Fire" control becomes frozen
New, NormalPublic

Description

Game Version: 1.4.0.48 (Steam)
Modded: No

The issue is that sometimes, the "Fire" key will become frozen "on". It will stay "on" until the "Fire" key is clicked again, at which point it will turn off as it should. The effect of this is that the held weapon will get thrown into firing without the button being clicked, and if the weapon is automatic, it will continue firing until the magazine is empty, or until the "Fire" key is clicked again.

Steps To Reproduce

I cannot reliably reproduce the issue. The only pattern I have noticed is that it will happen when returning to the game from alt-tabbing, when closing the Esc menu, or when closing the Inventory. It only happens after these actions have been performed, but not EVERY time they are performed. I've not been able to see this happen in Singleplayer, only when playing in a Multiplayer server.

Additional Information

Troubleshooting steps I have taken: Making sure no other peripherals are plugged in, trying a different mouse, closing/reopening the game, restarting pc, verifying game files, re-setting all key bindings to default, and making sure the game is up to date. I play many other games, and Reforger is the only one this behavior occurs in.

One thing I do notice is that, sometimes, if I freelook down at my character's hands, what I'll see is the trigger finger rapidly and repeatedly moving, as if the fire control was being pressed. But the weapon is not firing. This doesn't always precede the issue occurring, but it does seem like it might be indicative of an underlying problem with the control.

Somebody else told me that they have had the same issue and that a fix for them was to open and then close ArmaVision. I'm not sure if this actually works in my case.

I classed this as a major issue because having one's weapon randomly fire can be extremely detrimental to the gameplay experience, both for the subject and for teammates.
