Hello Poky, can you please check the following?

The "bad image" error in DayZ, often indicated by error code 0xc000012f, usually means a corrupted or missing file is preventing the game from launching. Common causes include corrupted game files, missing or outdated system libraries (like Visual C++ or DirectX), or even a problematic Windows update.
Here's a breakdown of potential solutions:

  1. Verify Game Files:

Steam: Right-click DayZ in your Steam library, go to Properties, then Installed Files, and click "Verify integrity of game files".
Other platforms: Follow the platform's instructions for verifying game files.

  1. Reinstall Problematic Files:

Visual C++ Redistributables:
Download and install the latest versions from the Microsoft website.
DirectX:
Use the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer to ensure all necessary components are present.
System Files:
Run a System File Checker scan (sfc /scannow) in Command Prompt as administrator to check for and repair corrupted system files.
xAudio2_6.dll:
This specific file is sometimes implicated in the error. If you find it, try deleting it and then reinstalling the game or running a repair install.

  1. Reinstall DayZ:

Complete uninstall: Remove the game and any associated files from your Documents folder and AppData\Local\DayZ folder before reinstalling.

  1. Check for Windows Issues:

Updates: Ensure your Windows installation is up-to-date.
Automatic Repair: Consider using Windows Automatic Repair to fix any potential issues.
System Restore: If the error started after a recent update, try restoring your system to a previous state.

  1. Advanced Troubleshooting:

Startup parameters:
If you have any custom launch options set for DayZ in Steam, try removing them.
